Standing under a beautiful big tree, gazing out at the hinterland hills stretching endlessly before you, you take a deep breath in as you feel a profound sense of connection flood your entire being, and your heart swells with the significance of this moment. Based upon the principle that small changes on the inside lead to big results on the outside, the Butterfly Effect Retreat offers a moment to pause, reflect, and help you direct your next steps for transformation and growth so you can feel expansive and free.

When we drop the resistance and surrender to the process of transformation, there is a sense of freedom as we break free from limiting beliefs, societal expectations, and self-imposed constraints, allowing our true self to soar.

THE VENUE

Nestled in the serene hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, Amara Retreat offers a haven of tranquillity and beauty. 

The stunning guest house, surrounded by 44 acres of peaceful bushland with sweeping views across the Noosa Hinterland, provides the perfect setting for your transformative journey.  

Wander through gorgeous bush tracks, dive into the healing waters of the magnesium pool, work up a sweat in the steam room or relax on a daybed and soak up some vitamin D in one of the many quiet, grassy spaces. 

The guest house has six bedrooms, either twin share or private, with everything you need to feel at home from the moment you arrive at your Sunshine Coast hinterland retreat.

THE FOOD

Nourish your body and soul with an abundance of healing, high-vibrational, plant-based meals prepared with love by our talented local chef. Each dish is crafted to delight your senses while promoting a healthy digestive system. 

From vibrant curries to nourishing soul bowls and handmade desserts, you’ll savour every bite, loving yourself from the inside out.

All  meals are good for your body, will nourish your soul and delight your tastebuds.

DAY 1 - MAGICAL NEW BEGINNINGS

As the gates of Amara Retreat open up before you, you arrive at a stunning guest house where you’re invited to open your heart and embrace the opportunities that await you.

The evening’s opening circle is an opportunity to meet the other like-minded souls who are taking this journey with you. You set your intention and you feel yourself connect to the divine energy that surrounds you.

As you drift off to sleep on your first night, you feel lighter and more at ease than you have in a long time, with a deep sense of gratitude that you courageously said yes to this experience.

 

DAY 2 - EMBRACING TRANSFORMATION

You’ll start your day with a heart-opening movement practice and floating into blissful meditation with the sounds of nature serenading you.

After breakfast we will gather for our first session where you’ll discover the principles of the “Butterfly Effect”, small yet powerful shifts that will change the way you think, feel and act. With a guided meditation and thought provoking questions, this gathering will be sure to give you insights and lots of aha moments.

In the afternoon take time for you, whether you want to rest and reflect, or be more active and explore your surroundings with the numerous walking tracks or make use of the amenities like the sauna, pool and fresh water dam.

Over dinner you’ll share stories with your newfound friends, reflecting on your learnings and experiences of the day.

DAY 3 - LETTING GO AND SURRENDER

This day is dedicated to letting go of the old and embracing the new. We cannot move forward and expect something different for ourselves if we don’t create some space for new things to emerge. Our morning gathering will prepare you to shed what no longer serves you by applying the small steps of the Butterfly Effect system, with me as your guide.

Our sacred letting go ceremony in the evening will be a powerful declaration of your readiness to evolve.

 

DAY 4 - FINDING YOUR WINGS

You wake on your last morning on retreat, feeling different within yourself. Your body feels lighter, your mind clearer and your spirited uplifted. The changes are subtle yet feel deeply profound. 

The sun is just beginning to rise, casting a glow on the wooden floor that nourishes your soul. The air is fresh and warm, filled with the symphony of chirping birds. You walk out onto the deck and look out over the sweeping hills and the expanse of nature sprawled out in front of you, like a painting come to life. You have been soaking up this view for the last few days and now feel completely in tune with these peaceful surroundings.

We gather for our closing circle and as we bring our retreat experience to a close, you feel deep gratitude for yourself and your courage to say yes to this transformative journey.

You reflect on what you’ve discovered about yourself and are reminded of the moments of bliss and peace, of joy and gratitude, of clarity and courage. You feel connected to yourself in a way you never have before.

      Single Supplement: additional $500 to have your own room.

      Price is per person and is all-inclusive (3 nights accommodation, all meals and activities).  A non-refundable $400 deposit is required at time of booking and then either pay in full or opt for the flexible payment plan option. Full payment is required 1 week prior to the retreat date.

      Hi, my name is Katrina, I’m the founder of Hart and Soul Retreat, a mindfulness meditation teacher, accredited Matrescence facilitator, fierce love advocate, a health and life coach and lover of sunsets and long walks on the beach.

      I am incredibly passionate about ensuring that every woman feels seen, valued, supported and celebrated on their journey through life. 

      My own life journey has not been an easy one. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010, at a time we were hoping to start a family, and again in 2021. In 2022 I lost my husband unexpectedly and I suddenly found myself as a solo parent to my two young children.

      From these experiences I know first hand the importance of looking after yourself – especially through life’s challenges – and that it is possible to find joy and a fierce love for your life, regardless of what life throws at you.  

      I believe that the butterfly effect beautifully captures the intricate, interconnected, and beautiful nature of how women grow, evolve and transform, and is a reminder that even the smallest changes can ripple outwards to create profound and positive changes in all areas of our life.

      The Butterfly Effect Retreat is a culmination of my personal experiences, expertise, and passion for empowering women to live life with intention, joy, and purpose.       FAQ’S

      I've never done a retreat before, is that ok?

      Yes! This retreat is suitable for everyone. All you need is the desire to be open to a new experience, reconnecting with yourself and meeting some beautiful like-minded women in an inspiring and rejuvenating environment. Everything will be taken care of for you so all you need to do is relax and enjoy your journey. 

      I'm new to meditation, Is that ok?

      Absolutely. Meditation will be guided and all you need to do is let go of the mind and any expectations you have and enjoy the feeling of being fully present and seeing what arises for you. There is no ‘right’ way to meditate, simply come as you are.

      What if I'm new to yoga?

      The yoga classes offered on retreat are optional and will be suited to all levels and are beginner friendly. This is a perfect opportunity to experience the benefits of yoa in a safe and supportive setting with a great teacher within a really beautiful yoga atmosphere.

      What demographic will this retreat be for?

      This retreat is open to all women, but it is most suited to women between 35-60. 

      What do I need to bring with me?

      When you join you will be emailed with all the information you will need for your retreat. You won’t need too much! Basic active wear, casual clothing, a journal, swimwear and toiletries. The venue will provide towels and shower products for you. 

      What if I feel uncomfortable about sharing things about me?

      The women who get the most out of this retreat experience are the women who are vulnerable and are prepared to share their stories and experiences with others. It creates a beautiful container for healing and transformation. If you feel too uncomfortable to share anything, this is probably not the retreat for you.

      Can dietary needs be taken care of?

      Yes, we will have a private chef who will cater for all dietary needs. 

      I'm coming solo. Can I have a private room?

      Yes! Private room options are available. There are limited spaces though so if you do wish to have a private room, please book your space early. Private rooms have a private ensuite bathroom. 

      I'm coming solo. Can I share a room with another guest?

      Yes, twin share rooms are available for women travelling to the retreat together, and also for those who are happy to share a room with another retreat guest. Each room has a private ensuite bathroom that you will share just between the two of you. 

      Do I have to do all the included activities?

      It is highly encouraged that you take part in the group sessions as these are a key part of the retreat experience. If you would prefer to have a sleep and miss a yoga class or meditation session, you have full permission to do so.
